Amazon Tracker

Amazon Tracker

Subsidies Awarded to Amazon: at least $1,135,000,000… and Counting!

Since Good Jobs First’s exposé in December 2016, Amazon has continued to obtain seven- and eight-figure subsidy packages for its fulfillment and sortation centers.

This web page tallies those deals plus smaller ones both for distribution facilities and data centers. We include: the year the subsidy was awarded to the company, the city or county where it was awarded, the state where it was awarded and the estimated subsidy cost. Growing secrecy surrounding subsidies awarded to Amazon sometimes makes calculating such costs difficult. Secret project names, non-disclosure agreements, and a reluctance by public officials to fully disclose costs suggests Amazon and/or public officials know these deals are becoming controversial because Amazon’s business plan requires all these new facilities.
